Quick Biography
Mr Doberiener-who was known for his work on Periodic Law- was a German chemist. He was one of the first people to consider Periodic Laws starting with Doberiener's traids. Johann was born into a poor family and with his Dad as a coachman he didn't have the best education. Doberiener (at the age of 30) had the unusual skill of chemistry hypotheses which caught the attention to Duke Carl. Duke Carl gave Johann an extraordinary position of Professor of Chemistry throughout the rest of his education.
Doberiener's Triads
Doberiener's Triads were made by (using John Dalton assertions) grouped elements together in threes with simular properties :
Element Lithium Beryllium Potassium Arithmetic mean
Atomic mass 7.0 9.0 11.0 9.0
Element Carbon Nitrogen Oxygen Arithmetic mean
Atomic mass 12.0 14.0 16.0 14.0
the elements the set in the order of the increasing mass and the arithmetic mean in the middle.
