Mr Doberiener-who was known for his work on Periodic Law- was a German chemist. He was one of the first people to consider Periodic Laws starting with Doberiener's traids. Doberiener (at the age of 30) had the unusual skill of chemistry hypotheses which caught the attention to Duke Carl.  Duke Carl gave Johann an extraordinary position of Professor of Chemistry throughout the rest of his education.
